mixed media on paper, curation
variable

Description: Every week for the duration of the show Brian Taylor and I each sent a package of works on paper to Main Gallery (Las Vegas). Brian and I had no idea what each other were sending. Main Gallery would rehang the show each week incorporating the materials Brian and I sent (or could choose to exclude things), Main Gallery had to take our parts and turn it into art. The above is the final version.

Still from cable access tv program (in production)
30 minutes X however many episodes

Description: Object Lesson is a half hour tv show in production but not yet being broadcast. The program consists of structuralist inspired videos of objects supplied by friends set to a sound track of their choosing. The above is an image from Dan Gleason's program, an Orca phone spinning, shot in time lapse with only a red light accompanied by an audio collage he made. Carrie Gundersdorf who is also featured on this fine site is one of the people who loaned an object and a soundtrack: Russian nesting dolls and Louder than Bombs by the Smiths. Its a good one.

radio program
4 hours a week by 12 years

Description: Something Else is a weekly radio program of Sound Art, New Music and live performance on WLUW. Something Else only airs works submitted for broadcast, and only airs them in their entirety. Something Else seeks to present things which otherwise would not be broadcast. I think the only person on this site who has actually been on Something Else is Trevor Paglen and that was a long time ago, but Something Else has broadcast great works by John Arndt and Stephen Lapthisophon. www.myspace.com/somethingelseradio

Performance, Marriage
forever if you got it right

Description: The image above is a still from a powerpoint converted to video which is a proposal for an exhibition, but in reality the project is performing weddings for friends for free. Who wants to pay some stranger to take part of what could be, maybe should be the most important day of your life? Something like 11 weddings in 12 or so years. A few of the people on this site who have shown the uttermost trust in allowing me to be part of that event include Katy Fischer (and Ben Vida) and Carol Jackson (and Jim Dorling).
